Quickstart

This walkthrough takes you from nothing to your first delivered WhatsApp message: create an account, connect your number, add contacts, get a template approved, and send a campaign. Plan for about 30–60 minutes of active work — most of the waiting is Meta’s template review, which usually takes minutes to a few hours.

If any concept below is new to you (templates? the 24-hour window?), skim the Introduction first — it explains the why behind each step.

What you’ll need

  • A work email and a credit card (for the 7-day free trial — you can cancel anytime before it converts).
  • A Facebook account that manages (or can create) your business’s Meta Business account.
  • A phone number for WhatsApp that is not actively used in the WhatsApp app on a phone — or one you’re willing to migrate. Details in Connect WhatsApp.
  • A handful of contacts who have agreed to hear from you on WhatsApp.

Step 1 — Create your account

  1. Go to app.nybero.com and choose Create your account.
  2. Step 1 of 3 · Create your login — enter your Work email and a Password (at least 8 characters), then press Continue.
  3. Step 2 of 3 · Tell us a little about you — fill in Your name, your Phone number, and your Company name, and pick what you’ll mainly use Nybero for (e.g. Webinar funnel — reminders & show-up rate or Support & sales inbox). Industry and team size are optional. Press Continue.
  4. Step 3 of 3 · You’re almost in — review your details, complete the bot verification, and press Create account.

You land in a guided onboarding titled “Let’s get your WhatsApp set up” — three checkmarked steps that walk you through connecting your number. You can press Skip for now and come back later; the same setup always lives under Settings → WhatsApp.

Step 2 — Connect your WhatsApp number

This is the one step with real prerequisites, so it has its own detailed page. The short version:

  1. In the onboarding (or under Settings → WhatsApp), press Connect WhatsApp.
  2. A secure Meta popup opens. Log in with the Facebook account that manages your business, pick or create your WhatsApp Business account and number, and set the display name customers will see.
  3. Back in Nybero, finish step 2 · Activate & name your number: press Register number. This activates the number for sending and sets a 6-digit security PIN — write that PIN down.

When your channel shows the Connected badge on the Settings → WhatsApp page, you’re live: incoming messages will appear in your Inbox from this moment on.

Step 3 — Add your first contacts

Open Contacts in the left navigation. You have three ways to grow the list, and you can use all of them:

  1. Add one by hand — press + Add contact and enter the phone number (with country code, e.g. +14125550123) and a name. Perfect for testing with your own personal number.
  2. Bulk import — press Import and paste one contact per line in the format +12025550123,Name (the name is optional). Only import people who have already opted in to WhatsApp messages from you — imports are marked with consent accordingly, and messaging people without consent is the fastest way to get your number rate-limited by Meta.
  3. Collect opt-ins going forward — press Copy opt-in link and share it anywhere: Instagram bio, website, email footer. Under Contacts → Opt-in you can create dedicated opt-in entry points with a ready-made HTML button for your website. See Collecting opt-ins.

Later, organize contacts with tags and target them with dynamic segments — for the first campaign, “All contacts” is fine.

Step 4 — Create a template and get it approved

Since your contacts haven’t messaged you yet, there’s no open 24-hour window — so your first outbound message must be a Meta-approved template (why?).

  1. Go to Marketing → Templates and press New template.
  2. Step 1 · Create template — fill in:
    • Template name — lowercase with underscores, e.g. welcome_offer.
    • Language — pick from the dropdown; it must match the language of your text.
    • Category — pick Utility for transactional updates (order confirmations, appointment reminders) or Marketing for offers and promotions. Meta may reclassify the category itself after review; the actual billed category is shown on the template afterwards.
    • Message — your text. Insert variables like {{Name}} for personalization and give each one a sample value so Meta’s reviewers see a realistic message.
    • Optionally a Template header (image, video, or document), a Footer, and Buttons (quick reply, URL, or call).
  3. Step 2 · Review — check everything; edits after approval require a re-review by Meta.
  4. Step 3 · Submit — press Submit to Meta.

Approval usually takes minutes to a few hours; the status on the Templates page syncs automatically with Meta. Full guidance — including a button strategy that gets contacts to reply and open the 24-hour window — in Create a template and Approval.

Step 5 — Send your first campaign

Once the template shows as approved:

  1. Go to Marketing → Campaigns.
  2. Under New campaign, enter a Name (e.g. “Launch announcement — test”).
  3. Choose the Audience (segment) — leave it on All contacts for now. Segments are dynamic; the audience is computed the moment you send.
  4. Under Template (approved only), select your template and fill in a value for each variable.
  5. Check the live preview on the right, then press Create & send.

Nybero sends rate-limited (to protect your number’s standing with Meta) and automatically skips anyone who has opted out. Watch the delivery stats on the campaign, and — if you added yourself in step 3 — watch the message land on your own phone.

When your test contact replies, the conversation appears in the Inbox, the 24-hour window opens, and you can answer in free text. That’s the full loop.

Where to go from here

  • Automate the loop — build a welcome sequence or webinar reminder flow in Automations, or let the AI generator draft one from a plain-language description.
  • Put forms in the chat — qualify leads without a landing page using Forms.
  • Let AI answer — set up the AI sales agent with your offer and FAQs (included in every plan).
  • Invite your team — under Settings → Team.
  • Understand your costs — Meta bills message costs directly via your Meta Business account; Nybero shows them on the dashboard. See WhatsApp costs and Plans.
  • Stay compliant — read GDPR & consent before importing a big list.
